FAQ

The slimming cupping treatment has gained immense popularity in recent years. It is a non-invasive technique that employs cups to generate a vacuum on the skin. This procedure aids in the breakdown of fat cells and enhances blood circulation.

Slimming cupping treatment is considered a safe approach and may even offer additional advantages, such as reducing cellulite and inducing relaxation. If you are seeking for a non-invasive weight loss treatment in Singapore, slimming cupping therapy is a top contender!

It’s important to know that there is no “fastest” way to lose weight as it is dependant on the Body Condition of the individual as well as one’s eating habit. Slimming cupping treatment is a holistic approach that helps one to slim down naturally without having to bounce back on the weight as long as a healthy diet is maintained. Together with regular exercise, it does provide optimal results for some individuals.

Normally for first timer, it will be slightly painful but bearable. As one comes for treatment the next time, the feedback from most of our customers is that they felt more like a relax massage compared to the first time.

Cupping using jar, or sometimes known as Gas cupping, uses vacuum to extract gas to achieve negative pressure. Normal qi cupping also known as fire cupping, has thermal penetration and a warm effect, which can dispel the wind and dispel the cold.

As the Gas cupping has no warm effect, it has a poor effect for treating diseases caused by wind cold. The fire cupping uses the method of combustion to burn the oxygen in the cup to achieve negative pressure.

The following 6 categories of people are not suitable for cupping: Severe heart disease patients, People with haemorrhagic diseases, Tumour patients, People with active tuberculosis, Pregnant women, and People with high fever convulsions.
Generally speaking, cupping can be done 1 to 2 months after delivery. At this time, cupping not only helps to promote qi and blood circulation, it also helps to regulate the body and body detoxification. In addition, it reduces water retention and assist on weight loss.
There are many reasons for blisters in cupping. For people with heavy moisture, phlegm, regular alcohol consumption, water retention, and excessive humidity in the body, are believed in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to contribute to the formation of blisters during cupping. According to this perspective, these factors can lead to an excess of fluids or pathological products in the body, which may be drawn to the skin’s surface under negative pressure, potentially causing blistering.
It is best not to drink alcohol before and after cupping. The main function of cupping is to regulate qi and blood. After alcohol enters the blood, it will paralyze the vascular movement centre, respiratory centre and the surrounding blood vessels, forming high iron haemoglobin resulting in a certain degree of blood pressure decline. This is in conflict with the conditioning principle of cupping.
It’s advisable to abstain from alcohol consumption both before and after undergoing cupping therapy. The primary objective of cupping is to balance the flow of qi and blood within the body. When alcohol enters the bloodstream, it can potentially hinder the functioning of the vascular and respiratory centers, as well as affect the surrounding blood vessels. This can lead to the formation of high-iron hemoglobin and result in a reduction in blood pressure to some extent. Such effects are contrary to the therapeutic principles of cupping.
